Trade fairs are a good place to explore industry trends, to network and plan well-informed next steps. This was the experience of Blerinda Veliu from Agroflorentina, a company dealing with medicinal and aromatic plants, who recently visited Biofach, the world´s leading trade fair for organic food held annually in Germany.
At the fair, Blerinda met with many potential clients that use MAPs and non-wood forest products as raw material for their own products. Inspiration is another benefit she brought back home. “I was impressed by the visual presentation of companies. Based on information acquired there, I believe we too shall apply changes to our company visuals, and we will seek next year to participate as exhibitors at similar fairs” she said.
Agroflorentina, 99 Lule, Agroshqiponja, Biofruti and Bliff and five Kosovo women-run companies from the MAPs and NWFP sector that visited Biofach 2020 for the first time. This visit was supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation project PPSE through its targeted activity supporting women businesses from this sector to explore global trends in organic production.
